Raiola originally joined Nebraska ahead of the 2022 season as a part of Scott Frost’s coaching staff. He was retained by Matt Rhule, and the rushing attack of the Huskers under Rhule and OC Marcus Satterfield was solid this season.
However, Raiola’s contract could also be notable for other connections. Dylan Raiola — a 5-star QB in the 2024 recruiting class and Donovan’s nephew — has been on the radar of the Huskers.
Originally committed to Georgia, Dylan Raiola is expected to take a visit to the Huskers this weekend. It will be interesting to see if Nebraska can pull off the massive flip with strong family ties on staff in Lincoln.
