Donta Scott is set to return for a 5th season in college basketball.
The veteran Maryland forward has the option to return to College Park on account of the 2020 Covid-19 eligibility rule. With his return, the Terrapins will return a top-25 caliber team.
And with rumors swirling that former Michigan big man Hunter Dickinson may be looking at a B1G destination in Maryland, the Terps could really be building something. It’s completely hypothetical at this point, but just imagine a frontcourt of Dickinson, Scott and Julian Reese with star point guard Jahmir Young also set to make a return for Maryland.
Donta Scott will return to Maryland men’s basketball for a fifth year, per @Jeff_Ermann.
He’ll have to play the three if Maryland lands coveted transfer big Hunter Dickinson.

Scott has taken a bit of a step back as far as efficient scoring is concerned, but his defense and basketball IQ has risen significantly from what it was 2 years ago. Should he put all the pieces together he could be a dangerous sight for the rest of the B1G.
Maryland had a strong first season under Kevin Willard. The Terps finished 22-13, falling to Alabama in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament.
