Dragan Kesich and the Minnesota Golden Gophers are walking away with the $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy following a 13-10 win over Nebraska Thursday night. Kesich walked it off with a 47-yard field goal that went right down the middle of the uprights.

The Golden Gophers’ defense put Kesich in a perfect position to make up for his missed field goal from 54 yards out earlier in the game. This was his first ever made field goal with less than 3 seconds remaining, per the FOX broadcast.

Minnesota has now won 5 straight over Nebraska:

The Golden Gophers feasted on turnovers all night, and when it mattered most Nebraska gifted them the ball at midfield with under a minute remaining. The Gophers were able to slowly drive the field and eventually set Kesich up for his redeeming shot.

What a way to end Thursday’s strong slate of games. And to think… we still haven’t reached Saturday’s schedule yet.
