Drew Allar had his starting debut for Penn State in Week 1, a roaring 38-15 success for Penn State. Allar was also brilliant in leading the offense past West Virginia.

On the first drive of the game, Allar threw a perfect touchdown on the move. He would finish the game 21-for-29 with 325 yards and 2 touchdowns and avoided turnovers during his time in the game.

On Tuesday, Penn State handed out its Players of the Game in all 3 phases with Allar leading the way. Linebacker Curtis Jacobs received the defensive honor while Malik McClain was the special teams recipient.

Jacobs was Penn State’s leading tackler in Week 1 and set the tone defensively. He led the team in total tackles (10) and solo tackles (7) with a sack and a TFL.

Now, Penn State will face Delaware at home in Week 2 before preparing for the beginning of B1G play in Week 3.
