Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett’s status for the B1G Championship against the Wisconsin Badgers is still up in the air. According to Buckeye coach Urban Meyer, Barrett did practice yesterday and that a lot of players wouldn’t play if they experienced the injury he did, but he is one of the toughest athletes to ever wear the scarlet and gray.
Urban Meyer has arrived. Meyer said J.T. Barrett practiced throwing on Wednesday and practiced fully yesterday. Said he’s cleared. Confirmed that he had a procedure on his knee.

Meyer said a lot of people wouldn’t be able to play with what Barrett had, but said he’s not like most.

While Barrett could still play and start, back-up signal caller Dwayne Haskins will be in Ohio State’s game plan regardless.
OSU’s Meyer said No. 2 QB Dwayne Haskins will be in the game plan regardless of Barrett’s status. #Badgers

When Barrett went down against Michigan last weekend, Haskins performed well against the Wolverines. He completed 6-of-7 passes for 94 yards. So, Haskins can clearly play against top level defenses (Wisconsin’s defense is No. 1 in the nation and Michigan’s is No. 3).
It will certainly be interesting to see how Ohio State uses Haskins come Saturday.
