The Chandler, Arizona, native seemed like he was the future for Ohio State, prepared to carry on a long legacy of great quarterbacks for the Buckeyes. Now, his future is uncertain as he prepares to find his next college team.

Raiola also has offers from Alabama, Arizona, Baylor and Florida State, but there will probably be plenty of teams gunning for the young quarterback. Heading into his senior season, he will have a big decision to think about.

Many are looking to Nebraska, where Raiola’s uncle, Donovan, is an offensive line coach. His decommitment came shortly after his uncle was retained as the OL coach by new head coach Matt Rhule, so many think the star prospect will head to Nebraska. Only time will tell.

Following the news about his decommitment, fans and members of the media took to Twitter to react to the shocking news. Some were surprised, others saw it coming and many Ohio State fans are relieved the news came now rather than a year from now.
