The Chandler, Arizona, native seemed like he was the future for Ohio State, prepared to carry on a long legacy of great quarterbacks for the Buckeyes. Now, his future is uncertain as he prepares to find his next college team.
Raiola also has offers from Alabama, Arizona, Baylor and Florida State, but there will probably be plenty of teams gunning for the young quarterback. Heading into his senior season, he will have a big decision to think about.
Many are looking to Nebraska, where Raiola’s uncle, Donovan, is an offensive line coach. His decommitment came shortly after his uncle was retained as the OL coach by new head coach Matt Rhule, so many think the star prospect will head to Nebraska. Only time will tell.
Following the news about his decommitment, fans and members of the media took to Twitter to react to the shocking news. Some were surprised, others saw it coming and many Ohio State fans are relieved the news came now rather than a year from now.
Big loss with Dylan Raiola. But I always just want the dudes that want to be there (at Ohio State) so it is what it is. Good luck to him and GO BUCKS!

Ok look I'm not going to get ahead of myself but all I'm saying is Rhule kept Donovan Raiola on staff and then a week later Dylan Raiola decommitted from Ohio State so obviously let's not get ahead of ourselves but also we got our guy.

The decommitment of Dylan Raiola is unfortunate for Ohio State, but better to happen now than a year from now.

The path forward will be interesting for Ohio State with the news of Dylan Raiola's decommitment. A lot of time to figure it out but #Buckeyes will be starting from scratch here. Not a ton of names that would make sense for a quick transition.

Dylan Raiola’s uncle, Donovan, is the offensive line coach at Nebraska, the only coach Matt Rhule retained from the previous staff.

Good luck to Dylan Raiola, will be great wherever he plays! Hopefully he comes back to Buckeye nation, if not hope you succeed, just not against Ohio State.
