Dylan Raiola has yet to be an underdog in his Nebraska career, but that all changes this weekend.
Across the 5-1 start for the Huskers, Nebraska has been favored in every game of the season with Raiola starting every game so far this season. But, hitting the road for the suddenly 6-0 Indiana Hoosiers, will shake things up.
According to bet365, Curt Cignetti’s undefeated team is a 6.5-point favorite for Saturday’s game. It will also be a marquee Saturday for Bloomington with FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff” in town and a national broadcast for the showdown.
While it sets up as a showcase for what Indiana has developed this season, Raiola says the Huskers are embracing the underdog role and will be excited to hit the field:
“I don’t think we could be more excited. We love being the underdog,” said Raiola at Tuesday’s press conference. “That’s how a lot of people perceive Nebraska is the underdog. That’s fine, we like it that way. Going into their stadium and their place, it will be a fun environment. Look forward to putting up our best fight and go win the game.”
While Nebraska checked in just outside of the latest AP Top 25, this is a matchup of 2 programs turning things around in a big way during 2024. Indiana might be the favorite, but Nebraska will be intent on delivering its own statement on national TV.
