The Madden NFL 21 rookie ratings have been released. Obviously, the position that draws the most interest — much like the playing field — is at quarterback.
Four former B1G quarterbacks were presented with rookie ratings as they prepare to embark on their NFL careers.
Two of the four names started their careers at B1G schools before moving on to another program. The other two played their entire careers at the same institution.
At the top of the list was former Ohio State and LSU quarterback Joe Burrow, who was the No. 1 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. After a Heisman Trophy campaign and leading LSU to a national title, Burrow has the highest rating of any rookie quarterback.
The other names on the list are Brian Lewerke (New England Patriots), Tommy Stevens (New Orleans Saints) and Nate Stanley (Minnesota Vikings). Here’s how each player was graded:
- Joe Burrow, LSU (Ohio State) — 76
- Brian Lewerke, Michigan State — 54
- Tommy Stevens, Mississippi State (Penn State) — 54
- Nate Stanley, Iowa — 53
