Ed Foley is another recent addition to the Nebraska coaching staff who has been using social media to make it official. On Monday it was reported that Foley will be the new special teams coordinator under brand new head coach Matt Rhule.

Rhule and Foley have a long history together going all the way back to Rhule’s first head coaching job at Temple. Foley also coached alongside Rhule while he was at Baylor and the Carolina Panthers before following him to Nebraska.

Foley has experience coaching tight ends, offensive line, special teams and took over as the interim head coach at Temple when Rhule left. A lot of positive things have been said about Foley’s passion and how he builds lasting relationships with players.

Foley will be joining other recent hires like South Carolina’s former offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield, Terrance Kington from the Carolina Panthers and another former Baylor coach Evan Cooper.
