Eight B1G student-athletes were honored as Academic All-Americans on Monday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Four B1G players were named first-team Academic All-Americans and four more received second-team honors.
Minnesota led the way with three selections, two of which were first-team. Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa, Michigan State and Purdue all had one representative.
To be eligible to receive Academic All-American honors, a student must be in his second year of athletic eligibility, be a starter or key performer and carry a minimum 3.30 GPA.
Here are the 2018 B1G Academic All-Americans:
First-Team
- Payton Jordahl, Minnesota
- Gary Moore, Minnesota
- Jordan Fuller, Ohio State
- Blake Gillikin, Penn State
Second-Team
- Cole Chewins, Michigan State
- Sam Renner, Minnesota
- Anthony Nelson, Iowa
- Joe Schopper, Purdue
