Michigan forward Eli Brooks was still in a walking boot on Wednesday, just two days before the Wolverines are set to play in the Big Ten Tournament.
Brooks suffered an ankle injury against Michigan State in the regular season finale on March 7.
His teammate, Franz Wagner, said Wednesday that he wasn’t sure if Brooks would be able to play.
“I hope he can play, I don’t know if he can play,” Wagner said. “He’ll be out there if he can, but I’m really not sure.”
A Michigan spokesman said his status remains uncertain, according to 247Sports’ Zach Shaw.
Franz Wagner when asked if he expects Eli Brooks to play: "I hope he can play, I don't know if he can play. … He'll be out there if he can, but I'm really not sure."
A Michigan spokesperson confirmed Brooks is still rehabbing and in a boot, but that his status is uncertain.

Hunter Dickinson also commented on Brooks’ status:
Could have been nothing, but Hunter Dickinson slipped out that "we're going to miss him a lot" about Brooks. Went on to say he meant that in general for while he's out of practices however long he's out, but there are ways to read between those lines in my opinion.
