Little Elm, Texas 2020 four-star cornerback Ryan Watts verbally pledged to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday.

Here’s what Watts posted on his Twitter account:

One of the top-20 cornerbacks in the cycle and one of the top-275 players nationally, Watts was previously committed to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Decommitting from Oklahoma on October 2, the Buckeyes’ landed Watts’ word just 11 days later.

At nearly 6-foot-3 and 190-pounds, he has attractive size for the position. Not afraid to apply pressure at the line of scrimmage, Watts reminds me of former LSU Tiger and current Cleveland Brown Greedy Williams.

Primarily recruited by co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach Jeff Hafley, Watts held a reported 35 offers from the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Michigan, Texas and others.

The program’s 24th commit in this year’s class, Watts is Ohio State’s fourth defensive back commit, joining fellow four-stars Lejond Cavazos, Clark Phillips III and Lathan Ransom.

Following in the footsteps of junior running back J.K. Dobbins, freshman wide receiver Garrett Wilson and many others, Watts is the latest example of the Buckeyes’ Texas pipeline.

No. 4 Ohio State (6-0) travels to Evanston to face Northwestern (1-4) on Friday (8:30PM ET, BTN).
