One of the top running backs and overall prospects in the 2020 recruiting class has set a date for his commitment announcement.

Elite five-star running back Kendall Milton will make his announcement on July 29, he told 247Sports this week. The nation’s No. 3 overall running back and 21st ranked player of the cycle has narrowed his options down to four schools already.

Milton has Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Ohio State listed as his top four schools and will be choosing between one of those later this month. The Clovis, California native had received nearly 40 offers during the recruiting process.

At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, Milton has been a hot commodity on the recruiting trail this cycle. He’s got an excellent combination of speed, strength and vision, making him a player who can make an early impact for nearly any program in the country.

Per 247Sports Composite rankings, Milton ranks as one of the top 200 players out of high school all-time.

Ohio State will be especially interested in Milton’s decision. While the Buckeyes already own the nation’s fourth-best recruiting class (No. 1 in the B1G), they have yet to lock up a commitment from a running back in 2020 recruiting class. Milton would certainly be a huge addition for Ryan Day and his staff.

Currently, Ohio State has commitments from two five-star players — wide receiver Julian Fleming and offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr.
