Emeka Egbuka was one of the Ohio State players that got to speak after practice on Wednesday. One of the areas he discussed was the play of J.T. Tuimoloau in Week 9.
Egbuka claimed that Tuimoloau is a “once-in-a generation type athlete.” Tuimoloau definitely showed just how athletic he can be against Penn State. Tuimoloau had 6 total tackles and a pair of sacks and interceptions.
Tuimoloau could also be a number one overall pick when he decides to go pro, according to Egbuka. It’s early in his Ohio State career, but with names like Chase Young, Nick Bosa, and Joey Bosa coming through Columbus anything’s possible.

While Egbuka was complimentary of how Tuimoloau played, he also had a solid outing against the Nittany Lions. He brought in 6 receptions for 53 yards receiving.
Both Egbuka and Tuimoloau will have a chance to make plenty of plays against a 1-7 Northwestern team on Saturday. Kickoff from Evanston is scheduled for noon ET on ABC.
