Encroachment: Big 12 ref goes viral for repeatedly slapping Sam Ehlinger’s butt

Things are getting a little awkward in the Big 12 today.
During Texas’ game against West Virginia, cameras caught a Big 12 ref giving UT quarterback Sam Ehlinger a little too much support after helping him up:

That’s at least four full pats on the butt and a hover for good measure as the camera panned away. That’s certainly unusual!
On the field, Ehlinger and the Longhorns have struggled a bit offensively. Halfway through the third quarter, Ehlinger is 11-for-21 for 137 yards and two scores. On the ground, he has just 25 yards on 10 carries.
Texas leads 17-10 at the 6-minute mark of the third quarter.
