ESPN destroyed for graphic showing Michigan as No. 4 seed in Rose Bowl

ESPN was apparently unaware of which program is the No. 1 team in the country for the Rose Bowl.

Of course, the No. 1 spot in the matchup between Michigan and Alabama belongs to Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines for the College Football Playoff semifinals. However, ESPN goofed that seeding in a graphic displayed on College GameDay.

Instead, ESPN flashed a graphic showing Michigan as the No. 4 seed and 1-loss Alabama as the No. 1 seed. There has been a growing number of analysts siding with Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide in the game, but Michigan enters as the top seed and is currently a 2-point favorite in Pasadena per ESPN Bet.

Needless to say, that is a significant goof for the Worldwide Leader. Many individuals were upset on social media about the error, and the miscue only fueled feelings of an SEC bias on the part of ESPN.
