ESPN has updated the Football Power Index top 25 coming out of the Week 11 action. Without many surprises, the top 2 teams remain the same with undefeated Georgia and Ohio State leading the way.
Those two teams were also No. 1 and No. 2 on the most recent edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings. With both posting solid wins over the weekend, a shakeup at the top is unlikely moving forward.
After that, the rest of the top 5 is a bit debatable on the FPI. The system has 2-loss Alabama at No. 3 ahead of undefeated Michigan (No. 4) and one-loss Tennessee (No. 5), one of the teams that knocked off the Crimson Tide this season.
Despite Alabama’s ranking, Michigan has much better odds to make the Playoff. The Wolverines check in with the third-best odds to make the CFP at 65%, trailing only Georgia and Ohio State entering Week 12.
Here’s how the FPI top 25 looks after Week 11:
- Georgia
- Ohio State
- Alabama
- Michigan
- Tennessee
- Utah
- Texas
- Penn State
- Clemson
- LSU
- Florida State
- Kansas State
- Oregon
- USC
- Ole Miss
- TCU
- Notre Dame
- Minnesota
- Baylor
- Mississippi State
- UCF
- Louisville
- Wisconsin
- Florida
- Oklahoma
Check back to see how the FPI looks after Week 12. For now, there are still some interesting rankings to digest with just 2 weeks left in the regular season.
