College football certainly has its mediocre teams.
The 6-6 teams just seem to, well, be there. But at the end of each season, you’ll have those special 12-1 or 13-0 teams, too.
And, of course, there are the teams that don’t do so hot. To this point in 2018, Rutgers is looking up at just about everyone else. Through 7 weeks, the Scarlet Knights are 1-6 overall.
The team was 1-5 going into Saturday, but lost to Maryland 34-7. It wasn’t close — as have been many Rutgers games this year.
After the 27-point loss, ESPN did a “your team stinks” segment with Treavor Scales and Jason Fitz. So, which team stinks exactly?
Well, Rutgers. One example of how they stunk this week was the fact that as a team, the Scarlet Knights finished the game by completing 2-of-17 passes for 8 yards while throwing 5 INT.
That’s bad:

The video itself is pretty funny. But, in the end, don’t we feel bad for what Rutgers is going through?
Somebody has to stink though, right?
