ESPN includes 3 B1G freshmen on top 10 list entering Week 6

Three B1G freshmen cracked ESPN’s list of the top 10 freshmen in college football through Week 5 and 2 programs are represented.
Penn State has 2 within the top 3: Linebacker Abdul Carter and running back Nick Singleton. Maryland has the other inclusion in linebacker Jaishawn Barham.
The B1G has the second most represented on the list behind the SEC, which has 4.

Penn State had quite the incoming class for 2022, it’s no wonder the Nittany Lions have a few spots reserved on the list.
Singleton has been one of the best freshmen in the country since stepping on the field. He was out of the gate in a hurry and has taken over as Penn State’s primary back, rushing for 463 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Carter has totaled 18 tackles with a sack and a forced fumble while Barham has totaled 16 tackles and 1 sack.
