A list was created by ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg on Wednesday discussing the 45 minority Division 1 coaches under 45 who could land a head coaching job in the near future. The B1G had 6 coaches make his list.

Things that were brought into consideration were resume, past jobs, pro players coached, and others. Rittenberg broke his list into Power 5 and Group of 5 coaches. The categories of the list were coordinators, position coaches, NFL position coaches, and Division II/HBCU coaches. This is an impressive list of coaches.

Here are the coaches on the list from the B1G:

  • Ryan Walters, DC, Illinois
  • Sherrone Moore, Co-OC/OL coach, Michigan
  • LeVar Woods, Special Teams Coordinator, Iowa
  • Lou Ayeni, RB Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator, Northwestern
  • Mike Hart, RB Coach, Michigan
  • Kenni Burns, RB Coach/Assistant Head Coach, Minnesota
