There were too many tremendous college football games to count this season. Every week we flipped on the television, something spectacular was happening.
A few games stood out a little more than others, though. Recently, ESPN ranked the top 15 games from the 2018 season.
Three B1G games made the cut, and all included either Penn State or Ohio State.
Ranked in the top two spots were the 7OT battle between LSU and Texas A&M and the SEC Championship Game between Georgia and Alabama. The LSU-Texas A&M was ranked No. 1 and the Aggies won 74-72. The SEC title game was No. 2, as the Crimson Tide overcame a two-touchdown deficit to knock off Georgia 35-28.
No. 4 on the list was Ohio State’s 52-51 overtime thriller against Maryland. Despite trailing most of the game, the Buckeyes survived a scare from the Terrapins in College Park.
Coming it at No. 5 was the top 10 clash between the Buckeyes and Penn State. Once again, Ohio State overcame a fourth quarter deficit to defeat the Nittany Lions 27-26 in Happy Valley.
Further down the list was the season opener between Penn State and Appalachian State. The Nittany Lions were on the ropes late in the game but were able to pull through with a 45-38 victory in overtime.
The B1G was home to several great games and a few others probably could’ve been added to the list. Here’s how ESPN ranked the 15 best games of 2018.
