ESPN releases film session with potential lottery pick, ex-Michigan forward Franz Wagner

Former Michigan forward Franz Wagner continues to impress NBA scouts as he prepares for the 2021 NBA Draft.
Wagner is likely to hear his name called during the first half of the first round, and could end up being a top-10 selection. He recently sat down with ESPN draft expert Mike Schmitz to go over his game in detail.

In the video, Wagner sits down with Schmitz to examine some of his strengths, weaknesses and what he’s looking to improve on before his rookie season.
Wagner’s prime skillset comes from his size and versatility. He’s listed at 6-foot-9 and showed off the ability to both shoot and move his feet on the perimeter defensively.
That combination of traits often translates into a high-level role player in the NBA.
Last season for the Wolverines, Wagner averaged 12.5 points per game on 47.7 percent shooting from the field and 34.3 percent from long range. He also added 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.
He could go as early as No. 7 overall to the Golden State Warriors but is also a fit with several teams inside the top-15.
The 2021 NBA Draft is on July 29.
