Published:
The College Football Playoff National Championship Game will now kickoff at 7:30 pm EST instead of 8:20 pm EST. The game is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2023.
This is an improvement for those on the east coast who value sleep – especially on a Monday rather than a Saturday. ESPN announced the news Thursday afternoon.

Now all we need are the teams vying for the championship. If the way the season has started is any indicator, Alabama and Georgia will be in the mix, as well as one of Michigan and Ohio State. As of now, the top 4 teams in the AP Poll are No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Ohio State and No. 4 Michigan.
I’m sure that won’t change at all over the coming few months.
