ESPN updated its preseason 2021 Football Power Index rankings. Here’s where all 14 B1G teams stand

The start of the college football season is creeping closer. With camp about one month away, ESPN has released its updated Football Power Index (FPI) rankings for the preseason.

ESPN’s FPI ranks every team at the FBS level, so we included where all 14 B1G teams stand currently, per the system. Just four teams from the league cracked the Top 25 — Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Earlier this offseason, ESPN provided its initial look at the FPI rankings. However, with a lot of activity in the transfer portal and recruiting classes finalized, some things have changed over the course of the past few months.

Here’s a look at where all 14 teams in the B1G stand entering the 2021 college football season, per ESPN’s FPI:
