There’s been a shuffle in the College Football Playoff predictions and it doesn’t look good for the B1G.
Ohio State had been firmly tabbed as the No. 2 team in the country and was expected to earn the second seed in the CFB Playoff at the end of the year. Obviously, Saturday’s 49-20 blowout loss to Purdue changed that. And now, according to four ESPN reporters, the B1G is currently out of the playoff race.
No Ohio State. No Michigan. Nobody.
It’s understandable that the Buckeyes would be dropped after such a lopsided defeat. But nobody has the Wolverines in the mix, a bit surprising after back-to-back wins over top 25 teams.
Michigan will have an opportunity to prove its worth in the coming weeks with games against Penn State and Ohio State still on the schedule.
