Just like that, we’re two weeks into the 2019 college football season.

More Big Ten teams suffered defeats, but as it stands, 10 different teams are still unbeaten at 2-0. Yes, it’s still 2-0, but many teams wish they could still be undefeated.

After the first two weeks of action, ESPN’s FPI got updated, and the FPI is a measure of exactly how good teams are. Below are the updated top 25:

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. LSU
  4. Georgia
  5. Penn State
  6. Oregon
  7. Notre Dame
  8. Ohio State
  9. Oklahoma
  10. Wisconsin
  11. Auburn
  12. Florida
  13. Texas A&M
  14. Michigan State
  15. Michigan
  16. UCF
  17. Utah
  18. Mississippi State
  19. Iowa
  20. USC
  21. Washington State
  22. South Carolina
  23. Washington
  24. Texas
  25. Maryland

There are seven B1G teams in ESPN’s FPI now and Penn State is above all others sitting at No. 5. Should this come as a surprise to some people?

Maybe. Wisconsin and Ohio State have looked pretty dominant, but Penn State isn’t far behind. The Nittany Lions trailed Buffalo at halftime 10-7 Saturday night, but pulled away in the second half to win 45-13.

What do you think of the FPI?
