Each week, the ESPN’s FPI updates.
Teams win, teams lose. That much is a given. What isn’t a given is where these teams will fall in the FPI. Last week, Penn State was the Big Ten’s top team, sitting at No. 5. Ohio State was No. 8.
Let’s take a look at the FPI’s top 25 after Week 3:
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Georgia
- LSU
- Ohio State
- Notre Dame
- Oklahoma
- Oregon
- Auburn
- Wisconsin
- Florida
- Penn State
- Texas A&M
- UCF
- Michigan
- Michigan State
- Washington
- Miami
- Texas
- Missouri
- Iowa

As you can see, the Nittany Lions took a bit of a dip according to the FPI after their 17-10 win over Pittsburgh. Ohio State continues to impress and has jumped to No. 5, while Wisconsin had a bye this weekend and remained at No. 10.

Next week, the Badgers host Michigan — who also had a bye — who comes in at No. 15 in these rankings. Overall, six Big Ten teams are in the top 25 as opposed to seven from last week. Maryland dropped out of the FPI’s top 25 thanks to its loss to Temple on Saturday.
