The Ohio State versus Notre Dame game produced big ratings for ESPN’s broadcast on ABC Saturday night. The game drew a huge audience, especially in the state of Ohio, which comes as no surprise.
Four of the top five markets in the country to watch that game were in Ohio, the fifth market was Indianapolis for obvious reasons. This game produced the biggest ratings since 2017 for a regular-season game on any ESPN-affiliated network.
This past weekend, @OhioStAthletics fans across the state of O-H-I-O tuned in to ABC's top-5 college football showdown

The top-five matchup ended up with the Buckeyes winning 21-10. Soon, the B1G will have a lot more of their games televised on CBS, NBC, and Fox Sports in one of the biggest conference network deals of all time.
At the present time, CBS shows mainly SEC games, and Fox shows B1G and Big 12 games. The conference will have a chance to grow its football audience now that it will be seen on more networks across the country.
What will also help the conference is when they add UCLA and USC in a few years, which will add the second largest TV market in the country with LA.
So things are definitely looking up for the B1G and things are only going to be better in the future and the proof of that is the ratings from this past weekend.
