A pair of B1G teams that entered 2021 with high hopes, but have fallen short will meet this weekend when Indiana heads to Maryland for the Terps homecoming game.

According to ESPN’s FPI prediction model, the Terps have a slight edge with a 54.2% chance of coming away with the win.

This is good news for Terps head coach Mike Locksley, who still has an outside chance of remaining in the “bowl-eligible” talk. The Terrapins opened the season strong, with a 4-0 start. But after dropping their last three games, they will need two wins in their next four games to reach the 6-win mark and stay in the mix for a postseason game.

A win against Indiana on Saturday would take the Terps into back-to-back games against No. 6 Michigan and No. 8 Michigan State, before facing a hapless Rutgers team to end the 2021 regular season.

Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Byrd Stadium in College Park.

Maryland fans are hoping the numbers don’t lie.
