ESPN’s FPI predicts outcome of Indiana’s showdown with No. 8 Cincinnati

Indiana notched its first win of the season in Week 2, and the Hoosiers now turn their attention to a big-time showdown in Week 3.
After the rough season-opening loss to Iowa, Tom Allen’s squad returned home for a game against Idaho. That game was no challenge with Indiana cruising to a 56-14 win.
Now, the Hoosiers must face No. 8 Cincinnati in Bloomington, and it will be the first Power 5 opponent for the Bearcats this season. So far, Luke Fickell’s team has knocked off Miami (OH) and Murray State in blowout fashion.
Saturday’s game should be a nice challenge for both sides, and ESPN’s Football Power Index is predicting a tough battle for the Hoosiers. According to the FPI, Indiana is given just a 45% chance of beating the Bearcats.
Hopefully, Indiana is able to produce a special showing in front of the home crowd. It would definitely be a big boost as the Hoosiers face a tough schedule with the heart of B1G East competition still to come.
