ESPN’s FPI is predicting the outcome between Nebraska and Wisconsin in a game that has bowl eligibility on the line.
Both teams have been stuck on 5 wins for a few weeks now, and something will give on one side of the matchup. The game will be in Madison, and playing in Camp Randall Stadium is certainly a plus for the Badgers.
Heading into the game, Wisconsin is a 4.5-point favorite at home, and the FPI sides with Luke Fickell’s team. The Badgers are given a 70.4% chance of getting the win and moving to bowl eligibility this season. Fans can head to ESPN Bet to get in on the action.
As for the head-to-head series, the Badgers dominate the all-time record with a 12-4 advantage over the Huskers. Wisconsin has won 9 straight in the series and is 10-1 vs. Nebraska since 2011.
A key factor in this game will be the health of both teams. For the Badgers, they are hoping to get Braelon Allen closer to full health after he tried to give it a go but was unable to make an impact in Week 11.
As for Nebraska, the Huskers have been a mess at quarterback, and Heinrich Haarberg suffered a sprained ankle against Maryland. Jeff Sims was the healthiest of that group as of Monday, but Matt Rhule said the team will prepare for Sims, Haarberg and Chubba Purdy as possible starters.
