Ohio State had a week off to think about its loss to Oregon, and the Buckeyes figure to be ready against a Nebraska team coming off a 56-7 shellacking at the hands of Indiana.
And, naturally, ESPN’s Football Power Index is weighing in with what it thinks will happen. The FPI is giving the Buckeyes a 96.6% chance to win this game. That means ESPN doesn’t think the Cornuskers have much of a chance to win on the road at just 3.4%.
The B1G rivals will collide in a 12:00 p.m. ET kickoff from Ohio Stadium with the game airing on FOX. Ohio State is looking to bounce back and maintain its track for the College Football Playoff, and fans can track the latest odds with Tradition’s sports betting apps in Ohio.
The Buckeyes have been one of the most impressive teams during the 2024 season, and that hasn’t changed despite losing to Oregon in 1 of the best college football games of the year.
Ohio State had played a very easy schedule before heading to Eugene, and the offense finished with 467 yards of offense vs. the Ducks. Even though he had the clock management issue at the end of the game, quarterback Will Howard had a great game and was 28-of-35 for 326 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Nebraska got off to fast stat start this year, but the Cornhuskers got a painful reminder on Saturday that they aren’t quite back yet. Matt Rhule’s team went to Bloomington and got beat by Indiana in blowout fashion. Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola had a very tough game, as he threw for 256 yards and 3 interceptions.
This was a game a few weeks ago that was being looked at as a potentially huge game in the B1G, but the Cornhuskers will have to play great to hang around with what figures to be an angry Ohio State team.
