ESPN’s FPI predicts the winner of Ohio State at Maryland

Ohio State cannot afford to look ahead to Michigan this week against the Maryland Terrapins.
The Buckeyes may have a top 2 offense in the country and a perfect record heading into College Park, but looking ahead against a Maryland team that can do some damage is ill-advised. Go into it with the same mindset as you do every game and the Buckeyes should be able to easily take care of business against a struggling Maryland team.
The Terrapins have been flirting with relevance seemingly all season but can’t seem to get over the hump. They are 6-4 with losses to Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin and Penn State, having lost 2 in a row to the last 2. They’re searching for their first win in the month of November this Saturday against the Buckeyes.
Maryland has lost just 1 game at home this season, falling to Purdue 31-29 5 weeks ago. The home environment will add an extra layer to this matchup.
ESPN’s FPI still has Ohio State by a favorable margin, giving the Buckeyes a 90.2% chance of winning the day. Even on the road, that sounds about right.
The B1G East battle is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
