ESPN’s FPI is back again for Week 2. Arkansas State-Ohio State is 1 of the B1G games set to kick off.

Ohio State is coming off of a 21-10 win over Notre Dame in Columbus. The offense struggled in the game, but the defense really set the tone. Ohio State held Notre Dame to 177 yards passing and 76 yards rushing. Notre Dame also struggled on 3rd down, converting 3 out of 13 attempts.

Ryan Day’s group should have a much easier time against Arkansas State. This will be the 1st time that these teams have met in football. The Football Power Index gives Ohio State a 98.4% chance to beat Arkansas State on Saturday.

Hopefully the Buckeyes will have Jaxon Smith-Njigba back from injury. He was limited in the game against Notre Dame after leaving with an injury. Smith-Njigba had just 2 catches for 3 yards receiving. If he is unable to play in this game, the team could at least use it as a time to get everyone healthy.

Ohio State does have a lot of depth of the receiver position, and that should play to its favor against Arkansas State. In Smith-Njigba’s absence, Emeka Egbuka led the team with 90 yards receiving against the Fighting Irish.

Ohio State and Arkansas State kick off on Sept. 10 at noon ET on BTN.
