ESPN’s FPI, otherwise known as the Football Power Index, put out its final top 25 rankings now that the 2022 season has been concluded. There were some changes made after Georgia beat TCU in the national title game.
Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, and Tennessee are the final top 5 heading into 2023. Penn State was just outside of the group, but was still in the top 10 after beating Utah in the Rose Bowl.
The only other B1G teams to make the top 25 were Minnesota and Illinois. The Golden Gophers won the Pinstripe Bowl, while the Fighting Illini came up short in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
The conference had a total of five teams make it into the final rankings overall. Here is the how the top 25 looks heading into the 2023 season:
