ESPN’s FPI (Football Power Index) has updated the latest odds of the B1G East division champion after Week 9.

No. 2 Ohio State (8-0; 5-0 in B1G play) has the best odds to win the East division at 75%. Ohio State is coming off a big road 44-31 win over No. 13 Penn State in Week 9. This win over Penn State was the second win over a ranked opponent in the season.

No. 4 Michigan (8-0; 5-0) has the next best odds to win the East division at 25.1%. Michigan is coming off a 29-7 home win over its rival in Michigan State. The Wolverines defeated the Spartans for the first time since the 2019 season.

No other team in the B1G has a percentage to win the East. While No. 16 Penn State (6-2; 3-2) has a 0.0% chance of winning the East, they have a 0.2% of making the College Football Playoff.

Ohio State and Michigan could once again play in a game to decide not only the East division but a great chance for the CFP.

Both Ohio State and Michigan have strong odds to win the outright B1G Championship, too. First they’ve got to get past each other, though. You can see the rest of those odds here.
