ESPN’s FPI is predicting the rest of the college football season, and Ohio State is one of the teams in great position entering Week 9.

After dispatching of Iowa, the Buckeyes sit at 7-0 and are looking to remain undefeated with a tough matchup against Penn State this weekend. That game will be the toughest game so far for Ohio State, but the Buckeyes are still projected to come away with a win.

Down the stretch, Ohio State remains the heavy favorite to represent the B1G East in the B1G Championship Game. After Week 9, the toughest remaining game for the Buckeyes is expected to be the season-ending rivalry with Michigan.

According to the Football Power Index, the Buckeyes are the top team in the country and have the best odds to finish the season undefeated. The FPI is projecting Ohio State to have a 47.5% chance of finishing the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record.

The Buckeyes also have better than an 80% shot at the College Football Playoff and a 63.1% chance of winning the B1G. We’ll see if Ohio State proves good on those projections.
