ESPN’s SP+ has score predictions for every game on the B1G slate in Week 7. That slate includes some key matchups at the top of each division with those results providing some separation between contenders and pretenders.

In the East, Michigan and Penn State square off in a battle of undefeated teams. That game is of particular interest as both teams have yet to play Ohio State, and the winner on Saturday will maintain pace for a potential trip to Indianapolis and the B1G Championship.

In the West, Purdue and Nebraska square off in a battle of teams tied atop the division at 2-1 in conference play. Both teams are also riding winning streaks after some tough losses in the early part of the season.

Fellow West leader Illinois takes on Minnesota in another crucial division game. Though the Gophers technically trail in the division (due to a 1-1 conference record), a win over the Illini will keep PJ Fleck’s team on par with the rest of the divisional leaders.

Heading into the weekend, ESPN’s SP+ system produced by Bill Connelly predicted every final score in the B1G. Here’s how the SP+ sees the matchups:

  • Minnesota 23, Illinois 19
  • Penn State 20, Michigan 32
  • Maryland 36, Indiana 21
  • Wisconsin 29, Michigan State 23
  • Nebraska 20, Purdue 34
