ESPN’s SP+ predicts final score for every B1G game in Week 9

ESPN’s SP+ has score predictions for every game on the B1G slate in Week 9. That slate includes some rivalry matchups along with some other key games now that we are in the home stretch of the regular season.

At the top of the B1G slate this week is No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 13 Penn State. The Buckeyes are favored in the game, but Penn State has picked up some big wins this season and is looking for an upset on Saturday to put itself back in contention for the B1G East.

Another B1G rivalry will also take place on Saturday, though it likely won’t be as competitive. Michigan and Michigan State face off with Michigan looking to keep its hot start alive and Michigan State hoping for some magic to pull off the upset.

In the B1G West, Illinois and Nebraska face off as the Fighting Illini look to keep their B1G West title hopes alive, sitting at 3-1 in conference play.

Here’s how ESPN’s SP+ system, produced by Bill Connelly, predicts the B1G teams will fare in Week 9:

  • Ohio State 33, Penn State 22
  • Michigan 40, Michigan State 17
  • Illinois 27, Nebraska 21
  • Minnesota 29, Rutgers 13
  • Iowa 29, Northwestern 11
