ESPN’s SP+ is projecting all the Rivalry Week action across the country. That includes the Land-Grant Trophy battle between Penn State and Michigan State.

This year, the regular-season finale for both programs will be played in primetime on Black Friday. That unique kick time will also be played at Ford Field in Detroit, home of the Detroit Lions.

As for the action on the field, the SP+ is giving Penn State overwhelming odds to wrap up the season. It has been a disastrous year for Michigan State with Harlon Barnett serving as the interim for much of the season after the suspension and eventual firing of Mel Tucker.

Per the SP+, Penn State has a 94% win probability in Detroit. The game is not expected to be close with a projected final score of 35-8 in favor of James Franklin’s team. Heading into the matchup, Penn State is a -21 favorite, and fans can head to ESPN Bet to get in on the Black Friday action.

The series between the two sides dates back to 1914 but was not played on a regular basis until 1993. In 37 all-time meetings, the series is split right down the middle with a record of 18-18-1.

Who grabs the historical edge Friday night in Detroit?
