The B1G is one of the toughest conferences in college football. Some could argue that it is better  top to bottom than the mighty SEC.

The B1G schedule is a grind each week; this year, it might be more demanding than any other year in the B1G.

Bill Connelly of ESPN shows just how challenging the B1G schedule is with S&P+ rankings.

5 teams in the B1G either have the hardest schedule to date or have the hardest full season schedule; in some cases, a team is on both lists.

The 5 B1G teams are listed below

  • Indiana
  • Nebraska
  • Penn State
  • Rutgers
  • Wisconsin

 Indiana, Rutgers and Wisconsin are on the list of hardest schedules to date per S&P+ and SOS.

  • Indiana: No. 3 Iowa L 34-6 No. 5 Cincinnati L 38-24 No. 4 Penn State L 24-0
  • Rutgers: No. 9 Michigan L 20-13 No. 7 Ohio State L 52-13
  • Wisconsin: No. 4 Penn State L 16-10, No. 14 Notre Dame L 41-13 and No. 9 Michigan L 38-17

The B1G is one of the best conferences in college football halfway through the season, and it looks like the second half will be one heck of a ride.
