ESPN’s SP+ updates B1G Championship odds following Week 1

ESPN’s SP+ continues to predict the 2022 college football season, and the odds to win the B1G Championship have been updated following Week 1.
Some of the standout performances from the first week of the season include Ohio State’s top-5 win over Notre Dame and Michigan’s balanced effort against Colorado State. Those two teams are still the top picks to win the conference title.
Wisconsin – after a shutout of Illinois State – was the next team included on the SP+ odds for the title. Penn State was next after a thrilling road comeback win over Purdue.

Here is how the SP+ system is predicting the top 4 odds to win the B1G:
- Ohio State – 52%
- Michigan – 13%
- Wisconsin – 10%
- Penn State – 7%

SEC: Bama 45%, UGA 41%, EVERYONE ELSE 14%
B1G: Oh St 52%, Mich 13%, Wisc 10%, PSU 7%
B12: OU 54%, OSU 14%, UT 13%, BU 9%
ACC: Clemson 44%, Pitt 17%, NC St 13%, Miami 12%
P12: Utah 31%, UO 26%, USC 25%

Those numbers are not likely to change after Week 2. All four will be heavy favorites with Wisconsin’s matchup against Washington State likely to be the closest game from the group.
