The Scarlet Knights weren’t supposed to be in this game originally. The Demon Deacons were set to play the Texas A&M Aggies but COVID-19 issues made them back out.
Rutgers went 5-7 during the regular season and will be looking to score a major upset against the ACC runner-up. Wake Forest comes into this contest at 10-3 overall and No. 20 in the AP Poll.
Scarlet Knights head coach Greg Schiano will be looking to win his 1st bowl game with them since 2011 when they finished 9-4 and won the Pinstripe Bowl.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. ET on Friday.
