Everyone is calling for Ohio State to play this SEC team on Saturday with College Football Playoff implications

The B1G has already taken a hard stance against its teams playing nonconference games this season, even if a contest is canceled. Nebraska attempted to schedule a game against UT-Chattanooga after its game against Wisconsin was called off in Week 2, but the league took an axe to that idea.

But with Ohio State’s game against Michigan being called off and the Buckeyes needing more games to add to its College Football Playoff resume, there’s actually one game that would make a lot of sense. And it involves and SEC team that’s also in the picture of the four-team field.

It just so happens that Texas A&M is also off this weekend after Ole Miss was forced to cancel Saturday’s showdown. The Buckeyes are currently ranked No. 4 in the College Football Playoff poll and the Aggies are No. 5.

What a way to determine which team gets that fourth spot, right? It would be incredibly fun and makes a ton of sense. Which probably means it won’t happen.

Everyone is talking about it, though:
