The win was far from comfortable, but Iowa made it to the end on the right side of the score to get to 6-0.

Saturday’s visit from No. 4 Penn State was back and forth all game long. It started with an early takeaway for the Hawkeyes and a chip-shot field goal. But the Nittany Lions quickly responded and played well throughout the first half.

Some key injuries did occur with Penn State losing starting QB Sean Clifford and DL P.J. Mustipher. Iowa’s defense also took a blow with Riley Moss leaving after picking off a pass.

The Hawkeye offense was led by key performances by Spencer Petras and Tyler Goodson. However, one of the best performers of the game belongs to punter Tory Taylor. He was called to punt 9 times with 6 falling inside the 20-yard line and just 1 touchback.
