A former Illinois offensive lineman has found a new home.

On Wednesday, Reuben Unije tweeted out that he has committed to Houston, where he’ll finish his football career. He spent half a season with the Fighting Illini before transferring to Coahoma Community College. Now, he’s moving on to Houston.

“Like every journey there are some key moments and I know these next 2-3 years will be my next key moments and in order to make sure I stay on track for my goals I proudly announce my commitment to the University of Houston,” Unije wrote on Twitter.

Unije is listed as a three-star prospect and one of the top 200 players available from the junior college ranks.

Unije left Illinois after just four games in the 2018 season. He did not play in a game for the Fighting Illini that year.
