The Kalen DeBoer era didn’t last long at Indiana. He was the offensive coordinator for the Hoosiers in 2019. Two season ago, he was offensive coordinator at Fresno State.

This was his first — and final — season with Indiana. For 2020, he will be back at Fresno State as a head coach.

DeBoer, despite having his attention toward Fresno State now — and understandably so — still wants to call plays for Indiana’s offense in the Hoosiers’ bowl game. Indiana coach Tom Allen wants that to happen as well:

The Hoosiers’ offense has had moments of brilliance throughout 2019, helping them achieve an 8-4 record this season. DeBoer has certainly had a hand in that, being in control of the offense.

Indiana will play Tennessee in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 2, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida.
