Earlier this year, a Michigan spokesperson said that St-Juste medically retired from football, but he disputed that claim in an Instagram post. He was not listed on the spring roster for the Wolverines.
“To clarify on my situation, I NEVER RETIRED FROM PLAYING FOOTBALL,” St-Juste wrote. “I had no power in that decision so stay tuned to my next announcement this week.”
St-Juste was a member of Michigan’s 2017 recruiting class and was a four-star prospect. He played in 12 games as a true freshman. St-Juste was primarily a contributor on special teams and ended the year with three tackles. He did not see any game action in 2018.
As a graduate transfer, St-Juste will be immediately eligible to play in 2019. There was not a mention of a potential landing spot in his announcement on Twitter.
