Wisconsin just gained a commitment from a player inside the B1G.

Kalon Gervin, who used to play at Michigan State, has announced he’ll be staying inside the B1G. Gervin is a defensive back who has spent his career thus far with Spartans since joining the program as a member of the class of 2018.

Gervin and his former teammate Chase Kline announced they would be entering the transfer portal on Sept. 27.

Gervin broke the news about his commitment via Twitter on Tuesday.

Gervin was a 4-star athlete coming out of Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan per the 247Sports composite rankings. Gervin had 44 total tackles in his career with the Spartans.

Gervin won’t be able to play this season but will be available for the Badgers for the 2022 season according to the NCAA’s new transfer rules since he transferred mid-season.
